Who Travels to Provide Care? Care, Gender, and Mobility: Rethinking Transportation Planning

As part of the commemoration of the International Day of Care and Support (October 29) and the initiatives promoted by the Global Alliance for Care, this masterclass invites participants to reflect on the relationship between care, gender, and urban mobility. Through concepts, evidence, research methods, and participatory exercises, we will explore how caregiving responsibilities give rise to different travel needs and how incorporating this perspective can transform transportation planning. The event is aimed specifically at students of engineering, transportation, and urban planning, as well as anyone interested in these topics.
