5th National Colloquium on Feminist and Gender Studies

The National University Network for Gender Equity (RENUEGES) is celebrating ten years of sustained work in building academic, political, and community spaces for gender equity in Colombian institutions of higher education.

The 5th Colloquium takes place at a historic moment of profound transformation: Constitutional Court Ruling T-010 of 2026 established binding due diligence standards for institutions of higher education in cases of sexual harassment and gender-based violence, while Colombia commemorates the tenth anniversary of the 2016 Peace Accords and their cross-cutting gender approach.

The colloquium brings together researchers, activists, students, institutional administrators, and decision-makers to collectively develop agendas for research, advocacy, and social transformation in response to the urgent challenges facing contemporary Colombia, through 14 thematic working groups and 10 participation formats.

Care, Intersectionality, Equality: Possible Intersections

To create a space for dialogue on different conceptions of care and their political implications. The aim is to reflect on the potential of care as an ethical, political, and methodological tool for strengthening processes of social transformation, as well as to identify its contributions and tensions in order to understand current challenges.
