The goal of the conference is to reflect on the implementation and evaluation of local care policies; to highlight the rollout of “caring municipality” strategies in the province of Barcelona and other regions; to share the results of the Barcelona Provincial Council’s NEXES Program in various municipalities, which addresses loneliness among older adults; and to present evidence on support programs for informal caregivers based on research conducted with the Catalan Institute for Public Policy Evaluation.
